Ingredients
  

For the Rolls

  • 6 sheets phyllo dough
  • 5 oz ham sliced or diced
  • 7 oz cheese cheddar or mozzarella, shredded
  • 3 oz sausage optional, crumbled or diced
  • 1 egg beaten
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds

For the Sauce

  • 1 ½ cups tomato passata
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • Pinch of black pepper
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp dried basil

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • This recipe makes two pizza rolls, each using three sheets of phyllo dough.
  • In a small bowl, mix all sauce ingredients until well combined.
  • Lay out two phyllo sheets on a clean surface, spread sauce over the top sheet, then add half the ham, cheese, and sausage (if using).
  • Roll up the phyllo tightly, repeat with the remaining sheets and fillings for the second roll.
  • Brush both rolls with beaten egg, sprinkle with sesame seeds, and bake for 30 minutes until golden.
  • Let the rolls cool slightly before slicing. Enjoy!
